KEY POINTS:
Interim name suppression was granted to a man who appeared in court yesterday charged with the theft of a cat cage from the Cats Protection League.
The man, aged 41, is listed as having an address in Upper Riccarton.
He is charged with stealing the cage worth $50 on Monday.
When he appeared in the Christchurch District Court, he was remanded in custody to appear again on August 28.
