KEY POINTS:
The name of an Auckland heiress who faces methamphetamine charges will remain secret until a full hearing on name suppression next month.
The woman, who is in her 20s, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession and use of drug utensils for methamphetamine and the possession and procurement of cannabis.
She did not appear in the Waitakere District Court today when her lawyer, Mark Ryan, applied for her interim name suppression to continue until his submissions could be heard in full.
It is understood Mr Ryan will argue the suppression be continued because of medical reasons related to the woman's health and well-being.
The woman, who was arrested 11 days ago, was initially held in custody but has since been released on bail.
The charge of possession of methamphetamine for supply carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if convicted.
The woman's co-accused, Joshua Ira McPherson, faces similar charges of possession and use of methamphetamine on the same April date referred to in court documents.
McPherson also faces other charges including unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, cultivation of cannabis and the possession of a syringe dated up to June 29.
