The name of a former national figure charged with indecent assault on a 13-year old girl continues to be suppressed after he made a second appearance in Nelson District Court today.
Interim suppression of his name was continued to protect the identity of the girl and the man was further remanded on bail without plea until his next appearance on March 1.
Conditions of his bail, which include that he does not contact the girl or a witness, were amended to allow him to contact the girl's mother for the purposes of family court counselling.
Court documents show the man allegedly touched the girl's breasts and genitals on December 30.
