The battle to keep the identity of the daughter of a wealthy Auckland family secret is briefly moving up a level. Her lawyer, Mark Ryan, will appeal to the High Court against District Court Judge Philip Recordon's decision yesterday to name her.
The woman, in her 20s, is charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession and use of drug utensils for methamphetamine and the possession and procurement of cannabis. She has interim name suppression until 4pm on Monday, by which time it is hoped the appeal will be been heard.
