Two men will appear this week in the Dunedin District Court after neither would say who was driving a car at up to 120km/h in the city on Saturday.
The men's arrest came after police tried to make a routine stop in South Dunedin about 9.30pm on Saturday.
The driver turned off the car's headlights and sped away, exceeding 120km/h, police said.
The two Dunedin men, aged 22 and 23, have been charged with failing to supply details.
