Mystery gas leak makes firefighters sick

Firefighters were unable to find the source of a gas leak which left them suffering from sore throats, headaches and vomiting.

Residents of Waverley in Taranaki had complained of a strange smell.

Staff went to the scene in Hussey St on Wednesday night and found about 300 gas bottles but were unable to pinpoint the cause.
