Police are no closer to identifying the body of a man found on Ninety Mile Beach in the Far North on Sunday but say he was in his 30s or 40s.
The badly decomposed body was found at the southern end of the beach in shallow water by a member of the public.
An autopsy had failed to determine how he died or his ethnic origin although police said he may have been Asian or Indian.
Police said there had been no reports of missing people and said they needed help from the public to identify the man who may have been in the water for two weeks. He may have fallen from a ship or been washed off the beach or rocks but police had no evidence that had happened.
He was 1.72m tall with long black hair and a medium build.
He wore faded blue denim jeans, one red and white adidas running shoe and a blue, red and white checked shirt.
