Lockhart loves visiting Auckland's galleries and spending time in her garden on weekends. "We are very lucky to have a large section and we are currently planting an orchard, come spring time I will be planting our vegetable gardens full of summer produce".
Take a look at some of her favourite spots.
Anticipating ... I loved seeing Michael Lett's new gallery, such a beautiful space, and the L.Budd show looks great in it. My husband did well to get us tickets to Nick Cave's show, which I am really looking forward to and I am super excited to see the Jarvis Cocker film at the film festival Pulp: a Film about Life, Death & Supermarkets.
If I could I would love to visit the new Hauser & Wirth gallery in Somerset as my favourite landscape designer Piet Oudolf designed the gardens there.
Trying ... I love that my shop and studio are so close to Little Bird and I am yet to try a few things on their winter menu.
I am excited to get to yoga again soon and am interested to check out The Centre in Kingsland for their yoga and wellness activities.
Drinking ... We had a little girl in February so social outings have become very limited ... pre-baby we would enjoy a good glass of Pyramid Valley Pinot Noir or The Supernatural Sauvignon Blanc at the Golden Dawn, now we buy a bottle of these and have it by the fire at home with friends.
Dining ... The Engine Room is our favourite. I love the room, catching up with Natalia, the steak and frites and that it is five minutes from home, in case I get a call from the babysitter to say that Grey needs me! We love to eat at Conch, the booths are great and the Arepas are delicious. If we travel a bit further it is to Mexican Specialties - their beef tacos were my pregnancy craving.
Going ... This summer we are heading to Great Barrier Island for a few weeks, I just love the island - the community vegetable gardens, the freshest fresh fish and a great gang of interesting people!
Mornings ... Breakfast is at home because Grey is awake very early but I do have to say if there was a cafe within walking distance of my house I would definitely go there! When I get to work I often have a second breakfast on the run from our neighbouring cafe Bambina.
Discovering ... Wendyl's in Grey Lynn is one of my favourite shops, it feels good to support a small business and I am addicted to the Patchouli washing powder.
Shopping ... We bought one of the "Woven for Godmother" blankets for Joe, the colours are amazing and he will have it forever. I have my eye on a necklace we saw in New York, it is by Harry Bertoia, it is also well out of my price range!
Planning... Everyday Needs is joining up with Little Bird to have an evening that teaches the basic principles of fermentation which I am really looking forward to.
