Found dirty, alone and afraid in an Auckland Countdown carpark, Eva was vulnerable.
Picked up by a member of the public, she was taken straight to the SPCA and was cared for there.
She soon became a favourite of the staff.
"She turned into a little poser, perching like a meerkat - almost like she was begging for a home," a SPCA staff member said.
After one month to the day of coming to the SPCA, Eva was adopted.
