Left abandoned and chained up, Denver was alone and without food and only dirty water to drink.
She was found by a SPCA inspector severely malnourished and scared, it is unknown how long she had been there.
It took three months for Denver to recover fully at the Auckland SPCA, building up the weight and confidence she needed to flourish.
Denver had not been looking for a home long when her new mother Lisa discovered her online. Visiting Denver in person, Lisa Thompson knew it was meant to be.
