A musical memorial for Scottish backpacker Karen Aim, killed in Taupo early this year, is to be performed in her home of Orkney.
The short piece, written by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, the Queen's composer, will be performed at St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall.
Ms Aim, in New Zealand on a working holiday, was walking home after a night out in Taupo on January 17 when she was attacked and died later of severe head injuries.
A depositions hearing for a 14-year-old boy charged with her murder is due to start on September 1 in Taupo.
