KEY POINTS:
Four new staff appointments at Auckland Museum have been announced, after an internal shakeup which left 46 staff members without jobs.
A new executive team will now report to museum director Dr Vanda Vitali.
It includes Tim Walker as head of museum delivery, Lynley Cunningham as commercial head, Les Fleming as the head of internal services and Russell Briggs as the museum's head of communications and new media.
More staff appointments are to come, including at executive and senior management levels.
The new appointments follow the museum's restructuring, which began in February.
It led to to 22 staff members being made redundant and 24 leaving of their own accord.
Staff were told the restructuring was to do with "streamlining".
