Waitakere Police investigating the death of Xiukun Feng are appealing for any possible sightings of her property, following the discovery of her cell phone.
The phone was found by a member of the public on a walkway between Point Chevalier and Patiki, next to Auckland's northwestern motorway.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton said: "The walkway is used a great deal by people who walk and run between Point Chevalier and Patiki and they may be able to help the inquiry if they saw some of Nancy's property in that area."
The body of Xiukun Feng (also known as Nancy) was found in a car in a New Lynn car park on May 1. Police believe the car may have been there for almost 24 hours.
Police are still searching for other property including a watch, red handbag and distinctive key ring.
Anyone with information is asked to ring the Henderson police on 839 0664.
