Murder trial ordered

Johnson Richard Tai, 21, charged with murdering Rotoiti school principal Hawea Vercoe, has been committed to the High Court for trial.

Tai, who is living in Auckland on strict bail conditions, did not appear at Whakatane District Court yesterday for the remand hearing.
