A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man after an attack at an Auckland house this afternoon.
Police and ambulance staff were called to a May Road house in the suburb of Mt Roskill shortly before 4pm, police said.
The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died from the injuries he received, police said.
The property had been cordoned off and a forensic examination and post-mortem would take place tomorrow.
The man has not yet been formally identified.
Two people who were at the house at the time of the incident are assisting police.
Police also want to speak to others who had been at the house during the day.
