Murder charges against dead women dropped

Murder charges have been dropped against a mother and daughter found dead on the south coast of Wellington.

The women, aged 75 and 51, were jointly charged with murdering a 77-year-old Levin man, their husband and father, in his home on February 5.

The women's bodies were found in the sea near Te Raekaihau Pt on Sunday.

Police are treating their deaths as suspicious.
