A 48-year-old woman has been charged with murder, after the discovery of the body of a 20-year-old woman at a residential Blenheim address.
Officer in Charge of the investigation, Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan, said early indications were that the "tragic death" occurred at the residential address earlier today.
"We have arrested and charged a 48-year-old woman with murder, and we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident."
The accused will appear in the Blenheim District Court tomorrow.
