An 18-year-old Taranaki murder may never get to court despite multiple confessions from the prime suspect.
The Taranaki Daily News reported that as well as the confessions, police had a witness who said the suspect confessed to her and begged her for an alibi minutes after his brother had been bludgeoned to death.
But Crown solicitor Tim Brewer said there was not enough evidence to take the case to court.
