The man charged with the murder of a mother of four found dead in her Papakura home appeared in court yesterday.
The 43-year-old Manurewa man was given name suppression during his first appearance to face charges for the murder of Leanne Kingston.
The man appeared in court earlier this week charged with damaging Ms Kingston's car.
Yesterday, he was remanded in custody by consent until August 27.
His lawyer, Tony Bouchier, told the Papakura District Court that the man needed time to tell his family about the charges.
Police say Ms Kingston's body was found by one of her four sisters in the bathroom of her Cargill St home at about 4pm on Monday.
