A Manawatu mother fed up with asking her daughter to help make dinner accidentally stabbed her with a boning knife.
The Palmerston North District Court heard that in September last year Melisha Brooks was preparing dinner at her Ohakea home while her 15-year-old daughter watched TV.
The 37-year-old had asked her to help several times before the pair got into a heated argument and Ms Brooks accidentally stabbed her, making a small puncture wound just about her right knee.
The injury did not require stitches.
Ms Brooks was sentenced to 100 hours community service and nine months supervision.
