Multiple vehicle crash causes delays on Auckland motorway

The northbound lanes of Auckland's Southern Motorway just before the Papakura on ramp are now open following a serious crash involving multiple vehicles.

While the lanes were now open, the NZTA advised motorists to avoid the area due to significant delays.

Emergency services attended the scene at 10:25AM.

Three patients were transported to Middlemore Hospital, all in moderate condition, St John said in a tweet.
