KEY POINTS:
A report on the controversial death of South Auckland woman Folole Muliaga is due out today.
Mrs Muliaga, 44, died soon after a power company contractor switched off the family's power supply because of an overdue bill in May 2006.
The move cut off the power supply to Mrs Muliaga's oxygen machine and she died a couple of hours later.
A nine-day Coroner's Court inquest into her death in May this year ended when coroner Gordon Matenga reserved his findings. His decision is due to be released about midday.
Spokesman Brenden Sheehan yesterday said Mrs Muliaga's family were bracing themselves for another painful reminder of her death.
"They're doing it tough, particularly the boys," he said. "Every time something like this happens it dredges it up ... it takes it out of them but they are moving forward."
The boys were now working and studying and were trying to put the emotional inquest behind them.
Both Mrs Muliaga's sons and her husband sat through the inquest. Her husband, Lopaavea Muliaga, sobbed when he read his statement to the inquest.
"At the time my wife died, I firmly believe I only owed $34.44 as an outstanding amount," he said.
Mrs Muliaga's family maintained the contractor who cut the power saw the oxygen machine but ignored pleas from the family not to switch the power off.
Mercury Energy apologised for the incident after a couple of days, visited the family and attended her funeral.
Police chose not to lay a criminal prosecution over Mrs Muliaga's death.
