KEY POINTS:
Lawyers for at least five parties are expected to present their views tomorrow on what is expected to be the last day of the inquest into Folole Muliaga's death.
Mrs Muliaga, who was using an oxygen machine, died in her Mangere home on May 29 last year, three hours after a Vircom contractor cut her power because of an overdue Mercury Energy bill of $168.40.
Today coroner Gordon Matenga heard the final evidence to the inquiry - from an ambulance driver and a woman whose house was visited by the Vircom contractor shortly after he had disconnected Mrs Muliaga's power.
The woman said the contractor had come to disconnect the power but rang Mercury Energy after she had talked to him. She also said the contractor knew there was a newborn baby at the house.
The contractor had earlier been quizzed about his assertion that the baby's presence was one of the reasons the power was not disconnected when Mercury Energy records of his call to them did not include any notes about a baby.
Five lawyers are expected to give closing addresses tomorrow - those for Mrs Muliaga's husband, for her children, for Mercury Energy, for Vircom and for Counties Manukau District Health Board.
A lawyer for Diana Hart, a nurse who cared for Mrs Muliaga, may also give a final address.
The coroner's findings are expected to be reserved.
