Mucking in was the name of the game yesterday as youngsters and adults alike took part in a mud run to support Arahoe School, in New Lynn.

Commonwealth Games 50km walk silver medallist and Olympian Craig Barrett and his daughter, Hannah, 3, were among those who tested themselves on the 10-obstacle course.

The school was raising money for its three-year Operation Outdoors plan - a project to upgrade its pool.

It was not known last night how much had been raised, but all the money will go towards the project.
