There's good news for ski enthusiasts as the season at Mount Ruapehu has been extended following near perfect spring snow conditions.
The mountain will remain open for six extra weeks, until November 4.
Turoa ski area manager Chris Thrupp said snow conditions are as good as they get, with recent snowfalls this month and great weather.
