Mt Maunganui pack-rape pair appeal

Two of four men found guilty of pack raping a 20-year-old woman at Mt Maunganui 16 years ago have lodged appeals.

Warren Graham Hales, 40, a Papamoa fireman, has appealed against his convictions for rape and abduction. He was jailed for 5 1/2 years.

A 53-year-old man, whose name and occupation are suppressed, has appealed against his convictions for rape, abduction, and unlawful sexual connection.

He received an eight-year prison sentence.
