A rescue helicopter is on its way to pick up a man injured in the Aoraki-Mt Cook National Park.
The man is understood to have injured his shoulder.
Sergeant Lindsay Turner of the police southern communications centre said the weather was fine so it should be a straightforward rescue.
He was near the Ball Shelter, close to Tasman Glacier.
