The Labour Party could soon rule on Chris Carter's membership.
The MP is back at Parliament today after taking two months' stress leave.
Mr Carter seems far from stressed and is even thinking of staying in the race for the Labour nomination for his safe Te Atatu seat.
But Labour leader Phil Goff says that could be out of his hands now that he's well enough to come back to work.
He expects Mr Carter to be called before the New Zealand Council at its next meeting.
The council is expected to back Mr Goff and expel him from the party for his disloyalty to the leader.
