The Langham Hotel, Auckland has appointed two new business development staff. Maryanne Schaumkel and Tracey Taylor have both joined the five-star, Symonds Street hotel as business development managers. Prior to joining the hotel Taylor was business development manager with Millennium Copthorne and Kingsgate Hotels in Wellington. Schaumkel's was formerly short haul manager - Pacific and Australia for Go Holidays.

Thebics Consulting, a business and information consulting service, has appointed Mike Bannerman as manager consultancy services.

Jason Nicholl has joined Asparona's new Peoplesoft Consulting practice as a senior consultant. He has previously worked as senior Peoplesoft consultant at Cap Gemini, and as a Peoplesoft specialist at Manukau City Council, Air New Zealand, and University of Auckland.

Stuart Auld has joined Russell Investment Group as head of institutional sales. Auld has more than 20 years experience in the investment and financial services industry, most recently at Morningstar New Zealand as head of sales. Other experience includes senior roles at Perpetual Trust, Countrywide Bank and Citibank.

FCm Travel Solutions, the corporate travel division of Flight Centre, has appointed Christian Casbolt to the position of New Zealand general manager.

Carl Mortimer has joined the Telecom Enterprise IP Voice Team as a solutions architect. He was formerly with Logical/IBM where he was a network design consultant specialising in designing Enterprise LAN, WAN and IP telephony.
