Steve Gillingwater has been appointed manager of Robert Walters IT recruitment division. Gillingwater was previously team leader of the IT contracting department. He started his IT career in 1981 and has more than five years' recruitment experience.

Eugene Bowen has been appointed chief executive of Local Government New Zealand and will take up his role on November 6. He is a visiting scholar at Auckland University's department of international business and has a background in international trade and public sector management.

Office integration company Onesource has appointed Paul Neshausen as product marketing manager. He will manage Onesource's impending launch into the high-volume and colour copier markets.

Julia Dol has been appointed to the role of BCL general manager sales and marketing. Her key responsibilities include delivering BCL's revenue targets, managing the sales and marketing teams, and ensuring that BCL achieves its its broadcast and broadband wireless access objectives.

YMCA has appointed Ric Odom as its national executive officer. Odom has a background in leadership and general management, most recently at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, where he was a member of the senior leadership team and was general manager responsible for Te Papa's curators and collections.
