Brett Reid has been appointed as Triathlon New Zealand's new director of coaching. Reid is a registered psychologist who has spent six years lecturing in sport and exercise technology at the Waikato Institute of Technology.

Simpl New Zealand Ltd has made several new appointments, including Susan Putt, who is the new chief financial officer. Putt was previously CFO at Metrowater. Carol-Ann Hickmore has been appointed as talent manager, a new position responsible for human resources. Hickmore was previously resource manager at IBM. John Hanna fills the newly created role of chief operating officer. He was also previously with IBM. Another appointment is Paul Grealish, the new southern regional sales manager responsible for business south of Taupo. Grealish was previously an account director with SolNet Solutions. John Pratt, previously a sales manager with DownerCommspec, has been named as business development manager, and former Gartner International CEO Graham Norton-Standen has been elected Simpl chairman. Norton-Standen is also on the Corporate Advisory Board at Unisys.

Global networking firm Cisco has appointed Tracey Brewer as a distributor account manager in its Auckland office. Prior to joining Cisco, Brewer was channel manager for Motorola NZ in the Networks and Enterprise group.

Public Relations consultancy Baldwin Boyle Group has appointed Steve Fisher as New Zealand managing director as Greg Shand is stepping down from the role after 12 years.. Shand is a director and shareholder of Baldwin Boyle Group and will retain a full-time role as a senior strategic consultant. Fisher rejoined the company in 2005 having started his career at BBG in 1999. and prior to his return he headed up the consumer PR team for insurance and investment giant Prudential in London.

McKesson New Zealand has appointed Lesley Clarke as general manager. Clarke joins from the Researched Medicines Industry Association where she was chief executive officer.
