Lyn Provost, the first woman and first non-sworn officer to be appointed a deputy commissioner of police in New Zealand, is the new chairperson of the New Zealand College of Management governing board.

Stephen Romanos has joined industry lobby group Site Safe as business development manager. He has spent 22 years in the construction industry. Helen Hines-Randall has become communications marketing manager, and last worked as a marketing and business development executive at a law firm.

Denis White has joined Theta Systems Limited as business development manager.

Steve Jones has joined Trade New Zealand as its second regional account manager in Palmerston North. Jones, who will be dedicated to the education sector, was last marketing and development manager for Te Manawa, Palmerston North's science centre, museum and art gallery complex.

Rachael Burns has been appointed business development manager for the newly-opened Christchurch branch of Corporate Traveller. She has been with the company since 1993.
