Employment law specialist Clayton Kimpton, who has a background in employment and commercial dispute resolution, has joined KPMG Legal.

Law firm Simpson Grierson has appointed Graeme Edwards as a senior associate in its Wellington office.

Mr Edwards comes from the AXA Group, where he was chief legal counsel.

Robert Sinclair has been promoted to executive director, head of New Zealand corporate finance for UBS Warburg.

Three new appointments have been made to the corporate finance team: Mark Tapper, associate; John Sisk, associate; Jonathan Goldstone, analyst.

Two new appointments have been made to the sales and research teams: Richard Leggat, director, and Wade Gardiner, analyst.

Jon Cimino has recently changed his position with the firm to one of consultant, and remains New Zealand chairman.
