Holly Tompkins has taken the new position of advertising coordinator and Richard Bagnall interactive coordinator for the New Zealand regional office of the Australian Tourist Commission.

Tompkins was previously its interactive marketing coordinator. Bagnall was last with Qantas.

John Scandrett joins Botry-Zen as chief executive officer following a 12-year term as director of commercial development at the University of Otago.

Botry-Zen is undertaking the launch of a product, developed by HortResearch and the New Zealand wine industry, to control botrytis fungal infections in plants.

Melissa Clark-Reynolds has joined The Empower Group with responsibility for leadership development. She is widely recognised for her work in the area of private accident compensation.

Clare Fletcher has joined Ad People as director. She was formerly general manager retail, Genesis Power.

Derek Good is the new general manager of call centre solutions company TalkTactics. He has worked for the past eight years as the general manager of a Britain-based lighting company.

Ngati Wai Trust Board chairman and former New Zealand Maori rugby player Laly Haddon is the new chairman of the Hauraki Gulf Forum.

A Pakiri resident, he has been the forum's deputy-chairman since May 2000 and was elected unopposed to fill the vacancy left by the death of Philip Warren.
