Maclean Computing has appointed Kristian Cook account manager. Cook joins Maclean Computing from MPA, where he was business development manager responsible for Citrix.

Jock Richardson has joined Hamilton-based Livestock Improvement as its national sales manager. Richardson was formerly employed as national sales manager for HPM and before that he was with manufacturer and exporter PDL.

Dr Brent Layton has been appointed director of the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (NZIER). His former roles include chairing the electricity market rules committee, Lyttelton Port Company, AgResearch and its commercial arm Celentis, Canterbury Health and Trust Bank Canterbury.

Auckland-based Pead PR has appointed Bob Glancy to the position of senior account manager focusing on IT and digital entertainment. Glancy has a background predominantly in technical, business and financial PR and has worked in Britain for six years.

Facilities management and horticulture specialist Gregg Ireland has been appointed to head up a division of Serco Group NZ, Serco Resources Auckland. Ireland will focus on developing new business.

Rob MacGregor has been appointed chief executive of Office Products Depot. He was previously managing director of Budget Rent a Car and, before that, General Manager Tork Products Australasia.

Young & Rubicam Advertising media arm Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has announced two new appointments. Media planner/buyer Kelly Hill was most recently with Colenso BBDO, where she worked with clients including Quality Bakers. Her clients include Pacific Retail Limited, Singapore Airlines and Revlon.

Media planner Stephanie Donald joins the agency from a senior position at Universal McCann. Her main responsibility will be to manage the Colgate-Palmolive business.
