HR consultancy Mercer Cullen Egan Dell has made some key appointments. John Ellen has been appointed managing consultant.

Neil Jury has joined the company in Wellington as a senior consultant, and Stephen Richardson has joined the company as a senior consultant in Auckland.

Andrew Brown is the newly appointed director of the capital markets group of property company Jones Lang LaSalle in Wellington.

He has spent the last two years working for the company in Britain and North America. Also joining the company in Wellington is registered senior valuer Graeme MacLeod.

Mike Donald has been appointed general manager of land information company Terralink International.

Before joining Terralink International, he was business development and market relationship manager for fencepost.com, the e-commerce arm of dairy giant Fonterra.

Douglas Carrie is the new director of the bachelor of business and information management degree at the University of Auckland business school. A senior lecturer in marketing, he joined the university in 1995.

Carolyn Holmes has become senior equity research analyst for investment banker Salomon Smith Barney (NZ). She has worked in the securities industry for 20 years.

John Climo has been appointed general manager Auckland of marketing and sales company The Sales Bureau. He spent 15 years with Ansett Airlines in New Zealand, Australia and the Americas.

Peter Coolbear is the new deputy chief executive of Manukau Institute of Technology. He comes to MIT from Palmerston North's Universal College of Learning.
