The 2009/10 Harcourts New Zealand Franchise Council has recently been announced. The six Harcourts business owners on the council are: Graham Viall and Martin Cooper (representing Harcourts' Northern region); Brian King (representing Harcourts' Central region); Marty Scott (representing Harcourts' Wellington region); Andy Freeman and Kelvin Collins (representing Harcourts' Christchurch and South Island Provincial regions).
Icebreaker has appointed creative director Rob Achten to vice president of product and creative director. Achten joined Icebreaker in 2003.
Colliers International recently appointed Mark Parlane and Russell Clark to join the company's Valuation team in Auckland in July. Parlane, national director of valuation at DTZ, and Russell Clark, DTZ's Auckland valuation director, are acknowledged experts in industrial property valuation.
John Buick-Constable and Ana Simkiss have joined the senior ranks of Minter Ellison Rudd Watts. Buick-Constable is a corporate lawyer specialising in securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions and was previously with Bell Gully. Simkiss returns to New Zealand after five years in London - most recently with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
SKYCITY Auckland has appointed Mark Ancrum as operations manager at the SKYCITY Grand Hotel. He returns to New Zealand after seventeen years overseas, most recently as hotel manager for the Mobil rated five-star St Regis Hotel and Residences in San Francisco.
Independent Dutch credit management software company OnGuard has appointed Marc Vergroesen to the role of country manager New Zealand. With over 25 years of experience in Holland's credit management industry, Marc most recently spent nine years at Mazars as credit manager for the firm's 16 Dutch offices.
Hirepool Limited has made two new senior appointments. Kingi Pikaahu has been appointed national manager of the access division while Colin Wickman returns to his role as national manager of the Hirepool Energy division after a brief absence. Pikaahu has been with Hirepool for 18 years, most recently as energy manager. Wickman has 10 years industry experience.
John Lindsay has been confirmed as the new chairman of the Ports of Auckland Limited Board of Directors. Mr Lindsay joined the Board in March 1996.
