Murray Edridge has taken up the role of chief executive of Barnardos, the community-based advocate for and carer of children. He replaces former chief executive Ian Calder. Edridge joined Barnardos in January last year as director, organisational development.
DHL Express has appointed Lennox Sam to the position of national operations manager. Sam has worked in the freight and courier industry for 25 years and has been with the organisation for five years, holding the positions of gateway and customs managers.
IT recruitment consultancy Elan IT Auckland has appointed Rahul Suchdev as senior consultant. Suchdev will focus on supporting Elan's IT vendor and IT solutions clients.
New Zealand brand design company Dow Design has made three appointments. With more than 15 years' experience in design, Julie McWhirter has been promoted internally to become creative director. Supporting McWhirter in the design team are two new account directors, Stephanie Perrett and Carolynn Easton.
North Shore City Council has reappointed two key figures to Enterprise North Shore (ENS), the city's economic development agency, and is looking to replace two others who have retired. Sitting trustees Maurice Boland (chairman) and Mark Watt will take up a second three-year term on the ENS board. Margaret van der Walt and Lynne Walsh have retired.
Celentis has appointed John Stewart as chief executive of its recently launched subsidiary, Grasslanz. Stewart was previously president (international) of the Delta and Pine Land Company based in Mississippi, United States, leading the company's international division with subsidiaries in 12 countries.
