Hynds Pipe Systems has appointed Peter Goldsmith to the newly created position of general manager. Goldsmith moves to the role from being the company's national sales manager.
Canon New Zealand has appointed Sarah Slawson as its marketing co-ordinator for the company's consumer imaging products group. She was previously trade marketing assistant for DB Breweries.
Joe Griffiths has been promoted to market development director, Australia, at IT services and outsourcing company Hosting & Datacentre Services. Griffiths was previously market development manager, Wellington.
Network PR Auckland has appointed two account managers. Simon Kenny has returned from Britain where he was a communications executive for Barclays Global Investors. Nicola Wilson, previously of Baldwin Boyle Group, has also joined the firm.
SkyCity Auckland has appointed Richard Dodds as sales manager for Conventions, Incentives and Events. Dodds was director of sales for the Royal Cliff Beach Resort in Thailand, where he managed global sales of the resort's US$38 million ($59 million) convention centre.
Dona White has been elected inaugural president of the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia New Zealand chapter. She has 16 years' experience in the exhibitions industry, and is a director of North Port Events, which is responsible for The Food Show, The Parent and Child Show and the new Visionary Living Show.
3M New Zealand has appointed Gregory Brown to the position of managing director. Brown replaces Laurie Altman, who has taken up the role of managing director of 3M's Australian operation. Brown joins 3M New Zealand from the company's head office in Minnesota, US.
