Former National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research (Niwa) chief executive Paul Hargreaves has been appointed to the Chair of Antarctica New Zealand, which is the Crown Entity responsible for developing, managing and administering New Zealand's activities in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
Southern Cross Healthcare has appointed John Feyter as chief actuary. Feyter was, for five years, company actuary for Royal & Sun Alliance Life and Disability (NZ), and is a fellow of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
Jeff Smith is Flight Centre's (NZ) new general manager of its product division, responsible for all areas of the company's wholesale and product-related businesses, including marketing, advertising, finance, Infinity Holidays and the Ticket Centre. He will be based in Auckland.

David Sharp joins the company as a project manager and consultant for the Collaboration Suite business team.
