Horst Feldhaeuser has been appointed researcher by Research Solutions.

He started his career in Germany in the tourism and travel business but came to New Zealand seeking a more balanced lifestyle.

Jonathan Dodd has returned to Research Solutions. He has worked with research companies CM Research and Red Sheriff, and with search engine marketing company First Rate.

David Lilly is the new general manager, group finance, for Sky City Entertainment. He joins from Clear Communications, where he was chief financial officer.

Darren Manning is the new director of corporate advisory and equities for Westpac Institutional Bank. He joins from Deutsche Securities (New Zealand), where he headed the New Zealand equities division.

Bell Gully has eight new senior associates. In Auckland are Paul Sills (litigation), Cristina Canal (commercial property), Mary Carter (financial services), Stephen Price (litigation), Rachel Gowing (financial services), and Anthony Drake (employment). In Wellington are Chris O'Brien (financial services), and Genevieve Hancock (commercial).

Matt Wilson has been appointed retail sales manager within the New Zealand Herald's newspaper sales department. He has worked within the Herald for the last six years in a variety of management and finance roles.

Ross McCarthy is the new chief executive officer of NZ Fasteners, which trades primarily as a stainless steel merchant. He joined the company in September last year as chief operating officer.

Rachael Cotton-Bronte has been promoted to New Zealand supplies manager for Hewlett-Packard NZ's consumer business organisation team. She was formerly supplies marketing manager. Juliana Moss is CBO channel manager, expanding her former position of alternate channel manager, and Suzanne Wheeler has been appointed retail account manager.

Stewart Washer has been appointed chief executive officer of Celentis, the commercial arm of life sciences company AgResearch. Also joining Celentis is Roy Savage, who has been appointed chief financial officer.

Ainsley Brooks has been appointed to the newly created role of national director of the Export Institute. She has been seconded from national sponsor SH Lock (NZ), where she holds the position of manager, strategy and planning.
