Buddle Findlay has three new partners: David Thomson, a member of the business services team in Auckland, Scott Barker, in the litigation and insolvency and credit team in Wellington, and Jan Etwell, in Christchurch. She is part of the company law and commercial team, and the banking and finance team.
Colin Campbell-Hunt, author of the book World Famous in New Zealand, is a new professor of management at the University of Otago's school of business. He is acknowledged as an expert on competitiveness and innovation, and has been for many years at Wellington's Victoria University.
Tony White has been appointed to Philips New Zealand as general sales manager for Philips Consumer Electronics. He earlier spent five years as general manager of mobile phone division Philips Consumer Communication.
Mike Ogle has been made CEO of SCL (Software Consultants) and has also become a shareholding director.
He has been with SCL as a group manager responsible for marketing and strategic alliances for the past two and a half years.
Jeff Shepherd is Trade New Zealand's new trade commissioner to Malaysia. He spent five years as trade commissioner to Korea, and has most recently been based in TNZ's Auckland office as a market services manager for Southeast Asia.
Hamilton City Council's Cliff Boyt has been appointed the new roads and traffic manager for the city.
Paul Cropp is the new CEO at Elders Finance. He replaces Kerry Finnigan, who was recently appointed CEO of Elders Finance parent Hanover Group. Cropp was most recently general manager commercial at Allied Finance.
New to Industry New Zealand is Vito Lo Iacono, economic development manager, promotions and events. He last worked with Air New Zealand.
