KEY POINTS:
* Te Pou - The National Centre of Mental Health Research and Workforce Development - has appointed its first chief executive, Arawhetu Peretini. Peretini, of Ngati Kahungunu, Rangitane and Ngai Tahu o Wairarapa descent, is well known within the mental health sector, with 20 years experience in health and education at government level. Most recently she was with the Ministry of Health as Maori mental health manager and in secondment to NZQA as chief Maori advisor.
* Publicly-listed communications company Zintel Group has appointed Ena Lee as marketing communications manger. Lee has more than 10 years senior marketing experience with some of New Zealands leading corporations including ASB, SkyCity, Spicers and Telecom. Zintel has also promoted Alison Joyce to national sales manager of the communications business. She was previously the company's key account sales manager.
* Norman McGuinness has joined Optimation's services division. In his role as service manager - managed services, McGuinness will be working with Optimation's northern region clients He was formerly with Gen-i.
* Luxury global travel company Abercrombie & Kent has appointed Penny Agar as national marketing manager for A&K Australia & New Zealand. Agar has a background in prestige branding and loyalty marketing, having worked with Yarra Valley wine producer Yering Station.
* Martin Savory has been appointed group systems manager for the Southern Cross Forest Products group of companies. Previously he was IT manager for Thames Timber.
* Amanda Paull, a senior manager in finance and business marketing, has been appointed key relationship manager for investment advisory company Vestar Investment Specialists. Paull joins Vestar from her role as executive manager of Dress for Success Auckland, where she drove the sponsorship, fundraising and brand management.
