KEY POINTS:
* ING New Zealand has appointed Iain Cox as Portfolio Manager within its structured credit group. Formerly a portfolio manager at a privately-owned Auckland-retail fund, Cox has specialist knowledge of structured credit, CDOs,fixed income securities and derivative products.
* Odette Shearer has joined Pohlen Kean in Auckland to specialise in temporary staff placement. Odette has five years recruitment experience and joins Pohlen Kean from Recruitment Solutions/Chandler Macleod.
* The Westin Auckland, Lighter Quay has appointed a trio of senior executives for a five-star hotel to open mid-year. Greg Findlay joins as general manager and was most recently at the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort in Thailand. Keith Fong will be director of sales and marketing. He was recently senior vice president of sales and distribution for Air Tahiti Nui. Finally, Mark Gregory will be director of restaurants and kitchen. Gregory was executive chef at five-star London hotel One Aldwych.
* Field force optimisation company Montech Limited has appointed Alistair McMahon as a business solutions manager. McMahon has more that 15 years experience in various IT, communications and outsourcing roles.
* Jodi Williams has joined TechTonics Group as sales executive with the infrastructure services division. Williams was previously with HP where she focused working on business development.
* Janie Elrick has joined Hamilton-based farm improvement company LIC as chief financial officer.
Elrick was previously CFO with the Synlait Group and Zespri.
* Lucy Heald has joined TUANZ, the Telecommunications Users Association, as events manager.
* Cavanagh & Associates has appointed Philip Gater as a recruitment consultant.
