Amber Oram has joined Buddle Findlay's Auckland office as a senior solicitor in the financial services team. Amber specialises in structured finance, securitisation and general banking and finance advice. Prior to returning to New Zealand, Amber worked in New York and London.
DB Breweries managing director Brian Blake has been appointed Chair of the Board of Excelerator (the New Zealand Leadership Institute), which was founded in 2004 by the University of Auckland Business School alongside a number of corporate and philanthropic partners. As an active and enthusiastic Board member since 2005, Brian has also been closely involved in Excelerators Hillary Leadership Programme.
SKYCITY recently appointed a new general manager of human resources, Gráinne Troute. She was previously MD of McDonald's New Zealand.
Maunsell, a specialist in designing and managing power generation, and power transmission and distribution systems, has appointed Alec van Rossen as technical director - power and energy. Rossen will take a lead strategic role in coordinating and developing the NZ and International power and energy business.
Quinn Business Development Group has appointed Tim Mayston as an Associate Director. He is a chartered accountant and has held several senior management accounting positions both here and overseas.
