Stig Ehnbom has been appointed general manager of the Auckland division of the New Zealand Institute of Management.

Don Braid, Mainfreight's New Zealand managing director, has become the company's new group managing director.

The move coincides with the retirement of Mainfreight's board chairman Don Rowlands, who will remain as a director.

Bruce Plested, the managing director and founder, will become executive chairman.

Mark Newman has been made NZ manager of freight forwarding.

Dennis Basten replaces Newman at Lep International as Auckland manager.
