KEY POINTS:
* AIM Proximity has announced the appointment of Roger Ginsberg to the role of art director. A brand strategy specialist, he has a number of award winning campaigns to his credit including the 'Smirnoff Half Day Off' campaign which picked up the top New Zealand direct marketing prize, the RSVP Grand Prix.
* Toni-Maree Carnie has been appointed chief executive of Harbour Sport, one of the 17 Regional Sports Trusts in New Zealand. She comes from a background in the sport, recreation and youth sector and was most recently as chief executive of Turn Your Life Around, a youth development programme running in Auckland
* Unified Communications company Zeacom has appointed Arjan van der Boon in the new role of marketing communications manager. Previously, he was a senior communications manager at Telecom, where he worked in the online space and on the market launch of its VoIP products (Voice over internet Protocol) which incorporated Zeacom functionality.
* MSN's Liz Fraser has been appointed to the board of Interactive Advertising Bureau New Zealand, a not-for-profit organisation representing the interactive advertising and marketing industries. Fraser has worked in broadcast media for 14 years and earlier this year was appointed MSN's New Zealand business manager. She is a past senior TVNZ programming manager and also held the role of national sales manager, overseeing TVNZ's relationship with advertisers and the advertising industry.
* James Fleet has joined Demand Creation Agency, Marker (www.markerstudio.com), as Client Services Director. He joins Marker having spent time at Westpac as online strategy consultant, tourism enterprises, online sales & marketing manager, and a New Zealand based search marketing organisation.
* Arcus Investment Management has appointed Michael Brivulis to the role of head of institutional sales and relationships. Brivulis recently joined Arcus from Sydney-based ipac securities limited where he was responsible for providing an implemented consulting service to corporate clients, charitable trusts and superannuation scheme trustees.
* Dulcie Grace has been appointed Public Trusts regional manager, northern region based at Greenlane, Auckland. Grace has worked for Public Trust for the past 18 months, initially as the sales and service coach and more recently as acting regional manager, Northern Region.
* Kineticplus Executive Recruitment has appointed Sandy Murray to the position of manager - executive leasing.
* Mike Toepfer, a senior partner with Auckland law firm, Hesketh Henry, has been appointed the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Auckland. Toepfer has been with Hesketh Henry for the past 16 years, is a current board member and specialises in commercial property.
* Dashwood Design, one of New Zealand's leading graphic design companies, has appointed Andrew Gair as its new managing director. Gair has an extensive background in strategic development and implementation of brand strategies, nationwide marketing strategies and multi-channel campaigns for a range of blue chip companies. Prior to joining Dashwood he was the general manager of the design studio at Communication Arts.
* Vanessa Preece has been appointed to the position of general manager for the national design company Gibson Rusden. Her new role includes overseeing the Auckland and Wellington branches.Previously, she was the business development manager for the company, a position she held for four years.
* The Wealth Management division of Macquarie Private Wealth has appointed Steve Mudgway as an investment advisor. He comes from eighteen years with the National Bank, most recently as senior private banker, and will continue to work with clients in need of quality personal investment advice. Steve joins the Auckland team headed by Brent Procter and joins Brad Gordon, Tony Sutherland and Vivian Leung in the wealth management division.
* Bruce McLachlan has been appointed general manager consumer banking for Westpac New Zealand. Previously general manager business banking, he led a strong performing team for the last five years, demonstrating a passion for the customer that saw successes including the retention or growth of market share in all customer segments. Ian Blair (right) has been appointed general manager business banking. He was previously general manager of commercial banking, business financial services in Westpac Australia with broad experience in small and middle markets, wealth, sales leadership and credit management.
* Methodist Mission Northern, the Auckland-based charity that provides support for homeless people, older people, families and children in need, has John McCarthy to the organisation's newly created community services general manager position. McCarthy was former Richmond New Zealand regional manager northern.
* Mark Wylie has been appointed as the new executive chef of Accors Rotorua hotels. Prior to joining Novotel Lakeside and Hotel Ibis in Rotorua he was the executive chef at the high-profile Soul Bar and Bistro, located in Auckland's Viaduct, a position he held since November 2005.
* Fullers Group Ltd has strengthened its team with the appointment of new sales manager Brett Warman. He joins Fullers with more than 20 years experience in the tourism industry, most recently from Tourism Holdings Limited where he was account manager - sales.
* International property advisers DTZ have appointed Bill Bunt to the position of senior valuer in its Wellington branch. Bunt comes from CB Richard Ellis where he was a founding director of the Wellington office in 1989. He has 30 years of experience in the industry.
* Michael Richards has been appointed general manager for Fairfax Sunday Newspapers. Richards is presently the CEO of Pacific Area Newspapers Publishers Association (PANPA) based in Sydney.
