Prime TV has announced the appointment of Trudi McRae to the role of marketing and promotions manager. McRae has been the channel's publicist for the past 15 months and has a background in marketing and radio.
Recruitment and human resource consultancy TMP/Hudson Global Resources has appointed Marc Burrage as Auckland-based national manager for its office support, volume recruitment and customer service divisions. Burrage spent the past year running an internet business and has nine years' experience in the recruitment industry.
Kirsty Simpson has joined Emergent as a senior consultant. Simpson, who has recently returned from overseas travel, will focus on the permanent placement of mid to senior-level executives across a broad range of industries.
Professor Himangshu Paul is the new professor of operations management at Auckland University of Technology. He returns to New Zealand after holding positions at various overseas universities. His present research is on the impact of technology and quality management systems in enhancing business performance.
Two management changes have occurred at TV3. Roger Beaumont has moved to the position of director of marketing and communication and Felicity Wood, formerly director of marketing, becomes creative director.
Consulting and IT services company The Simpl Group has appointed Dr Geoff Smith as its Wellington professional services manager. Smith has more than 30 years' IT consulting and management experience.
Noel Gessler has joined Alstom Transport Group in the newly created position of supply chain and inventory manager. He will focus on streamlining the flow of inventory nationwide and improving the supply chain network. Doug Cochrane has joined Alstom in the newly created position of engineering manager. He will lead engineering projects to improve locomotive and wagon reliability and availability.
