John Kerr and Rawiri Fletcher have joined Professional Public Relations. Kerr joins the Auckland-based consultancy as group director of business and technology. Most recently he was general manager of Text 100 in New York. Fletcher has been appointed as a consultant with the company following his recent graduation from the Auckland University of Technology.
Andrew Mullins has joined the St John Northern Region human resources team. Mullins returned to New Zealand from Britain, where he spent five years employed in an HR adviser role with the Post Office.
Terry Holt has been promoted from sales & marketing manager to director of sales & marketing at the Spencer on Byron Hotel.
Duncan Petrie has been appointed as Professor of Film at the University of Auckland and will take over as head of the department in the middle of the year. He was a Reader (equivalent of Associate Professor) in Film at the University of Exeter in Britain and before that was a research officer at the British Film Institute in London.
Aotearoa Fisheries has appointed Tom McClurg as the general manager of strategy and planning. McClurg has worked in the policy divisions for the Ministry of Fisheries and the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission.
