9am People Ltd have recently appointed Martin King as general manager in New Zealand. King joined 9am last April as consulting manager focussing on growing the executive team. King's background is largely in HR management coupled with sales management in the financial services sector. Also new is Liza Bennett, who joins 9am People Ltd as executive consultant. Bennett brings with her 12 years FMCG experience working for leading brands in territory management positions.
The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation have appointed Mark Fennell as chief operating officer, commencing July 16, 2007. Fennell is currently the company secretary at The Warehouse Group.
Public Trust has appointed Ann Brennan as general counsel corporate, to based in its Wellington corporate office. Chief executive of Public Trust, Grenville Gaskell, says Brennan has extensive legal and commercial experience. She comes to Public Trust from six years at Westpac Banking Corporation where she was its senior counsel for three years. She has also worked as a commercial litigator for two major law firms.
Business marketing and communications specialist Joanne Bailey has been appointed marketing manager of Vestar Investment Specialists. Bailey joins Vestar from her role as marketing manager for the South Island firm Swain Investment Specialists. Swains will now be re-branding as Vestar.
Secure Computing Corporation has appointed Ignatius Gigis as its sales engineer for New Zealand. Gigis brings extensive technical experience to this role, with 18 years in the IT industry. He has worked primarily in the distribution field, with vendors such as Check Point, ClearSwift, Netscreen, Websense and Trend Micro.
